Graduate Degree Information
Graduate Program
Graduate education available in the Department of Psychology follows a research training and mentorship model, in which students complete their M.A. en route to their Ph.D. (note that applicants who already have the degree of M.A. may under certain circumstances enter directly to the Ph.D.) The Department does not offer terminal master's degrees – it is expected that every entrant will progress to Ph.D. if their performance is satisfactory. Please note carefully that we do NOT offer any graduate education in counseling, marriage and family therapy, school psychology or psychoanalysis. Our programs are full–time and there is no provision for distance learning. For more information, and FAQs on how to make an application, see the links below. Our research and training concentrations are as follows:
- Behavioral Neuroscience
- Clinical Studies Program
- Clinical Studies Re–specialization Program
- Cognition
- Community and Cultural Psychology
- Developmental
- Experimental Psychopathology
- Social/Personality
