Noteworthy Psychology Courses
You may elect to take up to 15 credits of PSY 407 (Practicum), 408 (Teaching) or 499 (Research). Only the first 3 credits of PSY 407 and only the first 3 credits of 408 will count towards the required 15 credits of 300 level and above courses. Any additional credits in PSY 407 and PSY 408 will count as elective credits. Although only 9 credits of 499 will count toward your degree requirements, and only 3 of these 9 credits will be counted toward your required 15 credits of 300 level and above courses, continued enrollment in PSY 499 is strongly encouraged, especially if you plan to pursue graduate school. Expect to work approximately 9 hours per week for a 3-credit course. A list of faculty offering PSY 499 is available at the UAO. Students then contact the faculty member to arrange for PSY 499 course credits.
